Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team the Raptors compete in the NBA as part of the eastern conference's Atlantic division. there normal home arena is Scotiabank arena which they share with the Toronto Maple Leafs on the NHS they were founded in 1995 as the NBA's expansion into Canada alongside the Vancouver Grizzlies as most expansion teams they struggled in their early years but after acquiring Vince Carter through a draft day trade in 1998 there seem to be a new interest in the sport of basketball in Canada as the team finally made the play offs in 2000. Vince Carter left the team on a sour note after being traded in 2004, he was then replaced by Chris Bosh as the new leader of the team, Bosh also left to join the Miami Heat in July of 2010.
In 2013 Masai Ujiri became the new president of basketball operations, which led to the rise of the most successful period of Raptors basketball under the backcourt duo of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. DeMar Rosen was traded after the 2018 play offs due to another disastrous series against LeBron James. the man that would replace him in that trade was Kawhi Leonard. with Leonard leading the new but unproven Raptors they won the championship in 2019 defeating the Warriors in six games a Warriors team that was viewed at the time as a dynasty.
